FSSAI registration is the mandatory authorisation under the Food Safety and Standards Act, 2006, by which every food business operator in India obtains a 14-digit license number through the FoSCoS portal. The route is Basic Registration, State License, or Central License depending on turnover, activity, and the number of states involved.
